These carnivorous apes are unusual. Each has an intelligence score of at least '9'. Though not normally able to use speech, through long practice they are able to enunciate the verbal spell components. Each of the apes wear silver wizard's robes decorated with blue comets stars and matching conical hats. There are only eight apes dwelling on the Fourth and Fifth Floors, and if they are all killed, there will be no replacements.
