THE VAT CHAMBER. Two cellar dwellers are tending the vats and vat media with
metal sticks equivalent to quarterstaves.

The
ceiling height is ten feet. Six vats are against the north wall,
each with a metal lid. Numerous pipes extend into the wall. There
are open barrels containing mult-hued sludge. This is vat media, a
substance that provides nutrients to growing vat creatures and can
also be used as a food source by mature vat creatures.
Opening
the vats reveals vat media and the unformed and nonviable bodies of
six additional cellar dwellers, in various states of completion.
